Is it OK to give flowers to your Dad? I say yes, some say no. Culture is changing and anything goes. If you know you Dad and you love him, get him a gift of flowers which he will take home and put on the table and he will love you for it. This does not mean you cannot get him those other special gifts. He is Dad and He deserve all That.
